The Holt Education Foundation’s “Prize Patrol” traveled through the district in January and awarded over $9,300 in mini-grants to various schools and classrooms for 14 different projects. Some of the projects include: individualized reading support, yoga for our youth, attendance matters incentives, college campus tours, basic life support training (CPR/AED/first aid) and multiple STEM projects.
Annual Community Recognition Dinner
The Holt Education Foundation Annual Community Recognition Dinner was held on March 20 at Chisholm Hills Golf and Banquet Center. For their dedicated service to the district and community, the foundation honored the following individuals:
Outstanding School Employees
Kim Bleicher, Michelle Griffith, Lisa Weise and Pam Wilson
Outstanding Community Member
This year’s mini-grant recipients provided displays of their teaching and learning projects. Dinner attendees were also treated to entertainment provided by Holt High School choir students. A gift basket silent auction and 50/50 raffle were held as well, with proceeds going to benefit each of our school buildings, various school organizations, and the foundation.
Proceeds from the Community Recognition Dinner primarily fund mini-grants for HPS educators. The Holt Education Foundation thanks the Holt-Dimondale communities for their continued support of this annual event.
