For the fifth year in a row, I plan to lead a community book study. Four years ago, we read and analyzed the book Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson. Three years ago, we studied the Rules of the Red Rubber Ball by Kevin Carroll. Two years ago, we read Simon Sinek’s book, Together is Better. Last year, we studied Todd Whittaker’s book, The Ball. This year, we are reading The Coffee Bean, by Jon Gordon and Damon West. The book focuses on how to transform our environments, overcome challenges, and create positive change. As many of you know, I am driven to reinforce positive behaviors as together we confront the negative behaviors. At some point this year, I urge you to read the book The Coffee Bean. This book reminds us that life is often hard. It can be punitive, demanding, and feel like a pot of boiling water. The Coffee Bean reminds us that we need to discover the power inside and transform our settings. Once again, I am firmly committed to promoting our district by highlighting the extraordinary, inspiring work that takes place daily. I am truly honored to serve you and embrace the opportunity to celebrate the past and continue to inspire the future of Holt Public Schools. Keep an eye on us as we transform our District and live our Mission: Innovate, Educate and Inspire!

District Pride, Community Wide!
